Western North Carolina's chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility is committed to educating the public about the devastation of nuclear war and the value of protecting the environment for the health and wellness of all living beings. This website is just getting started with content, but the passion of the people behind it is infectious! Residents of the Asheville region should also become aware that we are at the crossroads of nuclear transportation routes going north and south and east and west. Advocating for safety now with an eye on reducing nuclear dependence in the future should be on top of everyone's mind. And did you know that you don't have to be a physician to become a member? They welcome anyone who wants to be part of making our world a safer and healthier place to live. To get involved, just show up at a meeting!
